American Idol Watch #7: San Antonio Auditions

I must say that last night’s Idol was the worst one yet. There really wasn’t any standout psychos or real talent in San Antonio. Probably the best part of the episode was the “other door” montage in which contestants were shown trying to leave their auditions through a locked door. I think they must really be getting desperate.

Speaking of getting desperate, tonight’s Idol episode is a collection of material that was left over from the auditions episodes. Personally, I am getting sick of the auditions and am looking forward to the “Hollywood Week” group auditions which usually feature their share of emotional breakdowns, name calling and backstabbing. Each season, there seems to be a group who gets into an argument because one of its members was up all night partying. Hopefully, producers can get some contestants drunk this season or keep them out later to stir up a little more controversy. We shall see, I guess.

Will I watch tonight’s episode? Sadly the answer is “yes,” as I basically am an Idol junkie. Even if the show is bad, at least it is always interesting to see what Paula is wearing.
