PeopleSearchNews.com My Story Contest Terms and Conditions

The PeopleSearchNews.com "My Story" promotion is comprised of content submitted by users. Each day, visitors are invited to submit their favorite stories about influential people they've lost touch with. If an entrant's story is chosen, we will publish it on the PeopleSearchNews.com web site and provide them with an absolutely free people search and assist them in contacting the subject of their search. Limit one free search per person, household or email address every four consecutive weeks. Sorry, but only residents of the following countries are eligible to receive free searches: United States and Canada.

If you would like to submit a story, tell us about your search subject in an email to mystory@peoplesearchnews.com. In addition to your story, you'll be asked to provide your name and email address. You may enter multiple stories about search subjects each week; however you may only submit one (1) story per email. Stories will be chosen to appear on the website based on their "Human Interest Factor", usefulness to other users, and to what extent the story is reproducible and educational. There is no guarantee that any stories will be selected in any week.

We accept stories each Monday through the following Sunday. To be eligible for consideration stories must be received no later than 11:59 PM PT on the Sunday of each week during the promotion. The promotion may be discontinued at the end of any week. All stories and projects become the property of PeopleSearchNews.com and will not be acknowledged or returned. By submitting this story, you signify your acceptance of these official rules and agree to grant to PeopleSearchNews.com a royalty free, non-exclusive, perpetual worldwide license to reproduce, modify, prepare derivative works and otherwise use and publicly display your submission in any and all media in connection with the operation of their Internet businesses (including, without limitation, all PeopleSearchNews.com Services) without additional compensation.

PeopleSearchNews.com will have the right to assign, transfer or sublicense this license. All ideas may be posted on a publicly accessible web site. PeopleSearchNews.com disclaims any and all liability for any infringement of any entrant's rights in any submission caused by any third party. All stories submitted must be original, must not have been previously published, released or distributed and must have been created and owned exclusively by the entrant submitting the story.

No responsibility is assumed by PeopleSearchNews.com for lost, late, misdirected, or illegible entries, or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur. By submitting a story, participants release and hold harmless PeopleSearchNews.com, its affiliates, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this promotion. Acceptance of a gift constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winners' names, and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law.
