Don't Get Scammed: Try an Unclaimed Money Search Today!

Most Annoying Internet Advertisements of All-Time

You receive a letter in the mail stating that you are the rightful owner of unclaimed funds sitting in an office somewhere. The letter says that all you have to do is contact a particular agency and they will instruct you on how to obtain your funds. Sound too good to be true? It probably is an unclaimed money scam.

Though extremely tempting, we have all been warned that giving into unclaimed money scams will bring nothing but headaches, id theft, drained bank accounts and plenty of legal woes. These warnings should not be ignored in most cases because most offers stating that you have won the Nigerian Lottery or you have been qualified to adopt a Pure Bred puppy are in fact scams that are still going strong and netting millions.

Many people are unaware that there are actually government offices assigned to account for lost funds and property. If you have ever moved out of an apartment, forgot to contact the power company to claim your deposit, or never received that rebate you sent away for five years ago, chances are the check actually DID get lost in the mail.

Thanks to a new service being offered by online people search companies like PeopleFinders.com, you can now find out if you are one of the millions of people around the country with funds waiting to be claimed (sometimes up to multiple thousands of dollars just waiting from legal settlements or insurance claims PeopleFinders.com new Unclaimed Money Search is very similar to a search being offered by USA-People-Search.com in which the user can type in their information and choose their name off of a list. The cool feature with PF’s new search is that if you choose the wrong name from the results list, you don’t need to worry. By purchasing one name off of the list you receive all of the matching names in that city and state so that you may browse through all of them!

Some PSN staff members thought it would be a cool idea to see if we had any unclaimed funds waiting for us too. We ran our names through PeopleFinders and surprisingly, our lead editor Guy Dubleche has $86.00 waiting from a 5 year old cable box deposit he had never received. Guy then got the info on where to collect his cash and surprisingly, the people in the government unclaimed funds department couldnt have been nicer.
