Dear People Search News,

This weekend my friend Jess was telling me about a friend that she had not seen in years. She was so sad that she had drifted apart from this girl after high school. Jess also said that in the last 10 years she had heard things about this girl getting married, divorced, having a baby and moving a lot. Jess has just graduated from Sacramento State and recently gotten engaged. She really wanted to reconnect with her friend and catch up on everything that has happened in the past 10 years.

I asked her if she had ever thought of using a people search web site to find her friend’s contact information. She told me that she only knew her maiden name and the name of the city that she lived in while she was in high school. I remembered the article you had on your site about blind dating on MySpace and what information you said to use. I also remembered book marking that article because my husband wanted to find his college roommate. We went to Peoplefinders.com and typed in the only information we had:

  • First and Maiden Name
  • City, State from high school address
  • Birthday

There was one match that came back and IT WAS HER! There were two addresses that were newer than the high school one, but there was a phone number. There was also a relative listed that let us know that result was her. The relative listed was named Sarah, age 65, which was her mom’s name and what her age would be.

My friend called the number listed and, even though it was 11:15 pm, someone picked up. It was Sarah. She told Jess that her daughter did not live there anymore, but that she did remember who she was. They talked for a few minutes and Sarah gave her the number.

Jess called the number and a couple of seconds later a voice answered. And in what could only be described as a total “chick flick” moment, Jess and her friend started crying and talking. In fact, they talked for hours and now have plans to meet up in the next few weeks.

I just wanted to share this story because I’ve never used a people search site before or really remembered something that I read on the Internet and used it to help me. However, thanks to your article, I was able to get a couple of friends to reunite.

Sincerely,
Jennifer Strong
Oakmont, CA
