Alec Baldwin is searching for love
(divine.ca) Alec Baldwin has asked a fashion magazine to help him find love. Baldwin, who split from long-term girlfriend Nicole Seidel last year, is so fed up with today's singles scene he has asked Glamour magazine to find readers who would like to date him.
The 48-year-old '30 Rock' star told the magazine: "I would love to marry. I want to be in love again."
El Dubleche: Not that any Baldwin brother should be used as reference point for the popularity of Online dating, but this thie definately marks the beginning of mainstream acceptance for Online dating. Link
Students' new best friend: 'MoSoSo'
(usatoday.com) LOS ANGELES -- Walk on a college campus these days and you'll see cellphones everywhere, but only some being used for conversations. Baruch College sophomore Yelena Slatkina in New York City recently rustled up an emergency sub at work by typing a plea to her entire work group on her cellphone. University of South Florida sophomore Nate Fuller routinely uses his cellphone equipped with Global Positioning Software (GPS) to find recruits for his intramural football team and locate friends in Tampa Texas 21-year-old Brittany Bohnet uses photos she and 20 of her networked buddies snap on their phones to locate one another, using visual landmarks they spot in the pictures they send.
El Dubleche: Here is some background: Mobile Social Networking Software "MoSoSo" is being touted as the nex big thing in social newtorking and technology. MoSoSo pairs the technology of many socail networking sites like MySpace.com with sophisticated GPS tracking using mobile phones. This allows socail networking users to track their friends movemnts via there GPS enabled phone. Scary? This article raises some vey interesting points. My favorite, "Social, or antisocial, tools?" He helps other people find a soul mate
(connpost.com) Ross Gordon may be single, but he makes his living helping others find their soul mate.
Gordon, the owner of justsinglesadventures.com, is part of a booming industry focusing on singles, including travel services and Internet dating sites, that's seen tremendous growth in recent years. The Milford resident began organizing travel excursions for unmarried adults and singles-oriented events 17 years ago after attending a dance at the request of his mother.
"It was so horrible that I thought I could do better than this," he said. "I thought, hey I really could do better than this, and I did."
El Dubleche: A great business idea that is gaingin momentum based on the stigma loss associated with ONline dating. I predict that the world of Online dating is set to explode. Link
